Aux Gourmets d'Italie - Le Havre

I went there on a friend's recommendation, and now I understand why he raves about it! Aux Gourmets d’Italie, located in the Central Market of Le Havre, is a real gem. I couldn't resist a pizza made right before my eyes by the pizza chef—thin crust, fresh ingredients, true expertise. I also got some artisanal pasta and a slice of mortadella, and frankly, the quality was astounding! What also surprised me was the selection: Italian charcuterie, cheeses, homemade lasagna and cannelloni, arancini, Italian wines… you can easily put together a high-quality appetizer platter or order catering without any hassle. The online shop with click & collect is also very convenient. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and never pushy. You can tell they have a genuine passion for authentic Italian products. An address I wholeheartedly recommend to all lovers of Italian cuisine in Le Havre. I will definitely be back!

Special mention goes to the festive platters for all your events, the different varieties of lasagna, each more delicious than the last, and the pizzas made with truly high-quality ingredients! You stop by once… and you'll want to come back because the dishes served on the terrace (pizzas, lasagnas, salads, antipasti, sharing platters) are so delicious. You can also buy everything you need to create delicious meals or appetizers at the gourmet delicatessen; quality guaranteed. The warm welcome and smiles of the entire team are also much appreciated. Just a stone's throw from the famous Volcano, 5 minutes from the MuMa museum, and 10 minutes from the beach. A fantastic place!

The Italian products are very good, certainly, but… The pizzas are sparsely topped, especially compared to the photos. The food is expensive, undoubtedly due to its location in the central market. And the overall level of professionalism of the staff – (2.2/5) I won't go into details, but a staff member didn't take responsibility for their mistake and didn't express their dissatisfaction to the customer. It's a place where you can have a light meal in the summer, which is probably its only positive point.

What poor customer service! I gave my elderly grandmother a gift certificate so she could treat herself at your establishment. However, when she came in, you asked her to provide a receipt with a barcode to accompany the certificate. I never received this document. I contacted you to explain the situation. Unfortunately, you were unpleasant, claiming that you were the only person authorized to sell gift certificates, even though mine was sold to me by a young man. At no point was it mentioned that an additional receipt was required. I also regret the lack of consideration you showed towards my 78-year-old grandmother. Furthermore, the comments like "forget it, I'm screwed" are unacceptable, especially since the money was indeed paid. It's a shame that such an experience tarnishes the image of your establishment, particularly since there's another Italian caterer in Les Halles that's certainly more welcoming and respectful of its customers. I have no thanks.
